Artist Statement – Sara Bates
"I have always been cognizant of the emotional impact colour & design will have on any space. In my work, I try to complement a room’s desired mood and energy.
From contemplative spaces to whimsical children’s theme rooms, I enjoy the endless creative possibilities that each project presents.
A Jew by choice, I have been inspired by the beauty of Israel’s landscapes. The murals in this Mikvah were designed to respect the spiritual cleansing experience and reflect Judaism’s deep and meaningful symbolism."
Sara resides in Newmarket, Ontario with her husband, two children and two dogs.
